Maureen Kelland

EPC, Relationship Advisor

Maureen brings over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a career spanning major financial institutions, leadership roles, and private advisory practice.

She began her career at CIBC, where she spent nearly two decades in progressively senior roles focused on debt management and wealth strategies. In 1998, Maureen joined Great-West Life as a Retirement Planning Specialist, supporting financial advisors with retirement planning expertise and client solutions.

From 2001 to 2015, Maureen served as Regional Manager, Investments for British Columbia at Great-West Life. In this leadership role, she led a team of Investment Consultants dedicated to supporting Great-West Life and London Life advisors. Her team delivered comprehensive product and technical training, provided investment case consultations, and designed tailored portfolio solutions to meet client needs. Under her leadership, the British Columbia team was recognized four times as the top consultant team in Canada—an achievement she remains particularly proud of. Maureen is known for her collaborative leadership style and her commitment to helping team members achieve both corporate objectives and personal professional goals.

In 2015, Maureen returned to a self-employed advisory role and has since merged her practice with Pretium Wealth Management, where she continues her work as a Relationship Advisor.

Throughout her career, Maureen has been deeply committed to helping individuals and families improve their financial well-being. She has guided clients through investment strategies and insurance solutions designed to provide confidence, clarity, and long-term financial security.

Later in her career, a family member’s journey with dementia inspired Maureen to further expand her expertise in aging-related planning. She earned the Elder Planning Counselor (EPC) designation to better support clients and families navigating the personal and financial challenges associated with aging, Alzheimer’s, and dementia. This specialized knowledge allows her to offer thoughtful guidance, resources, and advocacy during complex life transitions.

Outside of her professional life, Maureen enjoys an active and creative lifestyle. Her interests include biking, boating, painting, sculpting, and exploring a variety of artistic mediums. She is an avid traveler—particularly to Europe—and treasures time spent with her family, especially her granddaughter.
